Safety Equipment
These are a range of safety equipment, in which I have found over the years to help support me.
Types of equipment
Bed rail bar
This piece of equipment slides under your mattress and provides stability and support so you can easily get in and out of bed. It was really helped me lifting myself out of bed in the morning.
Handle bars
These grab handles are fantastic and durable and are used within the wet room to enable me to hold on when showering. I also have one in my bedroom when doing home exercises and enables me to hold on and offers me support with my ataxia.
Swim vest
This swim vest is amazing for when you are swimming and want some independence, this has helped me as I always fear swimming as I get tired in my legs and sometimes do not have the energy to swim so this offers me reassurance and support.
Lamona Induction hob
This hob is very safe for me to use and I have the reassurance when cooking that nothing can go wrong.
Neff slide and hide electric oven
This oven was installed as due to my eyes and my balance, I was struggling to look down and see food being cooked whereas now, this is height level and easy to grab making cooking more pleasurable.
PCSsole Orthotic Arch Support Shoe Inserts Insoles for Flat Feet
These insoles really helps me when walking, due to having flat feet and collapsed arches, this gives me the support i need when walking as it helps to prevent different foot, ankle, leg, knee and lower back pain.
My Brother
This is my brother Grayson, he helps with everything and I give nothing in return. He is the one of the best purchases I've ever made. He is reliable and very durable, costs a fortune to run, but that seems to be my parents problem........I've had it for 14 years and causes only minor irritation.
