Covid 19

Finding Inspiration in Every Turn

In 2019 like myself we all suffered with the impact of Covid 19. During this time I was told I had to shield, little did I know I was shielding for nearly a year and a half. Although we had to shield fir such a long period of time I decided to try and raise money for the 'Lily foundation. My original plan was to try and do over 100 miles on my stationary exercise bike in which I had in my room. This was a challenge dealing with mito and my energy levels. My aim was to raise up to £500. Just within 24 hours of starting my challenge it had already reached  £1700 and it kept increaing form all the support i had from family and friends. In the end I think I had raise £2544 or more.

During Covid it was difficult as as at the time had just started year 10 of secondary This really impacted my education as I was in and had found it really hard to study from home without the proper support there to guide me as by the time Covid was over I had started year 11 and had to focus onmy GCSE'S.

Covid 19 didn't affect me the first time around very much (apart from a headache and feeling more tired than usual). However  I did end up catching it a second time in 2024, I was left with a chesty cough where I struggled to be able to clear by chest due to having no strength in my lungs. I had to go see my local GP and ended up being given 2 different types of antibiotics to help with the constant coughing. I originally got given amoxicillin but needed a stronger type of antibiotics, which i then had to go back to get even stronger ones.  I then ended up being about 2 weeks before I started to feel better but these stronger antibiotics worked.
