My experience with having a wireless pacemaker fitted

When I was diagnosed with heart problems I was given medication ( Bisoprolol and Lisinopril) as they both work well together as one helps by relaxing the blood vessels and slowing the heart rate to help improve and decrease blood the pressures. The Lisinopril works alongside to help treat my heat problems.

As a few years had passed my cardiologist said I should consider getting a pacemaker as the medication was helping but in order for my heart to remain safe as it was being a bit tricky at the moment, and this was the best option to help keep it safe for now.

On Friday 13th June 2025 I had to have wireless pacemaker fitted. In order for it to be fitted they had to push this gucci little battery up the artery in the leg, through the body and into the heart where it clamps itself to the right chamber wall permanently.

It will need to be replaced but not for another 10-15 years give or take, This will depend on the lifespan on the battery and how much its being used. When I do need to replace it all they will need to do is keep the old one in and just add a new battery.

It's nice that wont need to worry now too much and this device will help reduce the risks of any complications and help improving and stabilize my irregular heart beats
